After her recent win at the just concluded Nigerian Music Video Awards for “Best Soft Rock/Alternative Video”, Nikki Laoye is gearing up for the release of a new single and album.
The album titled “The 123 Project” is a special deluxe edition consisting of all the singles released by the award winning singer from 2011-2014 and some unreleased songs.
Divided into three categories, Chapter 1 – God; Chapter 2 – Love; Chapter 3 – Life, Nikki further defines her musical territory with this album as she speaks on matters of her Faith, Love and Life.
A collection of Nikki’s greatest hits,the album features the award winning singles – “Only You”, “123”, as well as “Your Number”, “Thank You feat. Niyola” (from DJ Jimmy Jatt’s The Industry Vol 1); 123(UK Remix); “SuperHuman SuperWoman” (from the Journey to Self Movie soundtrack) and lots more.
The 123 Project (Deluxe Edition) is another collector’s item for music lovers across the globe. This will be Nikki’s second album since her debut album “Angel 4 Life”, which was released earlier in 2008 and is now available on online stores.
Setting off the album release, Nikki teams up with her brother/producer, Xblaze in a new dance single, “African Dance” , which is scheduled for release on Friday 12th of December, 2014. The teaser for the song poses the question “What’s your favourite African Dance?” as Nikki and Xblaze celebrate the beauty of the unique modern African dance culture while kicking off an online buzz, requesting fans, friends & family to share their favourite dance style.
The list is endless – Etighi, Konto, Azonto, Shoki, Galala, Alanta etc..
