The menswear fashion industry is barely half as big as that of the women’s. Though steadily growing, women’s wear designers still dominate the fashion industry both in Africa and overseas. Most female models even get paid more than male models. Hence, we are flattered when a series of fashion shows are dedicated to us, well at least l know l am.

As you might have heard or seen men’s fashion week kicked off in Milan last week. The fashion driven city was buzzing with fashion enthusiasts, designers, models and the media. I even spotted some celebrities too. The runway was dominated by formal looks fused with both dark and bold colours. The designs included prints, chunky knits, hoodies, leather and fur collared jackets.
