Lyrics

[Verse 1:] Each and every day I will seek your face
My soul is crying out
For more, I want more of You
I won’t be satisfied nor content of where I am
So I will apprehend til I’m captured by what I’m after

[Bridge:] And I will go
From faith to faith
From glory to glory
[Repeat] [Chorus:] And I’ll forever be chasing after you
I’ll be chasing after you
[Repeat] [Verse 2:] I will press towards the mark
For the prize, and I won’t faint
There’s one thing I desire and that’s what I’m going for
I can’t continue life, day by day, growing dry
I want to be with you (Jesus) and I’ll seek where you are

[Bridge:] And I will go
From faith to faith
From glory to glory
[X3] [Chorus:] And I’ll forever be chasing after you
I’ll be chasing after you [x7]

And I will go
From faith to faith
From glory to glory [x3]

And I’ll forever be chasing after you
I’ll be chasing after you

MESSAGE:
How I became such a big fan of discipline I don’t know. I always thought to walk with God was all about a regimen: wake up @ 5 read my bible for 30mins reflect for 10 pray for 20mins after a while the process became tedious. I wasn’t doing it because I genuinely wanted to seek or see His face but because it was the way it was supposed to be or I was just trying to be self righteous. Then I came across this song and I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I wondered how he could be so confident about forever chasing after God or how his soul was thirsty or crying out for more because my soul wasn’t doing any of that. That’s when I realized that running after God faithfully and successfully cannot be accomplished by merely attempting to stick to a regimen (I found myself praying and staring at d clock waiting for 20mins to be over) but it stems from genuine love for God; all of Him not just some parts. It makes walking with Him so much easier 1john 5:3 says if we love Him we will keep His commandments because we are love Him in His entirety: including His ways and His precepts. I’ve come to understand that the degree of my chasing after Him is as a function of my love for Him. So I decided to ask God to help me love Him more, honestly, I didn’t really expect it to work but it did! Over the next few days I found myself hungry for His word and His presence, cutting off unprofitable relationships and now I really understand what this song means and how it was birthed. I encourage you to ask God today to help you love Him more and you’ll His hand in your walk with Him over the next few days, trust me it works.
