Once in a hall, a voice stops airs from flowing down your lungs and your ears melt into honey. From Six p.m., on Saturday, May 31, 2014, four honey making artistes will spread Rock fever and melt ears in the music room of Bogobiri (9 Maitama Sule Street, off Awolowo Way, Ikoyi). Welcome to
ROCK FEVER, a groovy evening of sounds and feelings, covering the chilliest soft rock to crazy chords of hard rock, powered by Artistry, an eclectic musical platform.
The four honey making artistes, who will melt ears, are as follows:
- Phrance [pronounced France] is a tenor singing and guitar rocking artiste. His third single, Ocho, is topping the playlist of ardent rock listeners in Nigeria. His sound is inspired by Chris Tomlin, 3 Doors Down, Kutless, Chris Daughtry and Tenth Avenue North. Follow this Benue phenomenon @phrancerocks
- Clay is refreshingly she, pierced and guitar wielding vocalist. Her voice pays homage to the unlikely combination of The Cranberries, Alanis Morisette, Onyeka Onwenu, and Avril Lavigne. Follow this light skinned introvert and stage queen @clayrocksu
- JFC [birth named Felix Okorodudu] is a rock guitarist and vocalist from Bini [Benin City] but grew up in sleepless Lagos. This twenty four year old rock protégée, with an electric baritone, is curating soft and hard rock into his premier album. Follow @jaffcy
- Uchman is an alternative rock voice and acoustic guitarist. He is modeled after Bono, of U2, and Jon Foreman of Switch foot. His debut single, The Original, released in February 2014, earned him industry wide acclaim. Watch out and follow @thisisuchman
